Hunting knife

A hunting knife (also called a Falchion or Malchus) is a cutting weapon that was used as early as the High Middle Ages until the Renaissance. It is a single-edged cold weapon, 45 to 60 cm long, which was used for hunting. It reached its greatest popularity in the period from the 17th to 19th centuries. In the Middle Ages it was also used by merchants for protection.

The blade of the knife in the picture is smoothed to a high gloss and may be provided with a dedication or a logo.
